Structure 2: Substrates at risk of moisture
For substrates that are heavily saturated with moisture and where it is not possible to wait for drying, the structure for moisture-prone substrates is the right one. The diffusion-open primer HADALAN® EBG 13E and the leveling layer of the filler mixture HADALAN® FGM003 57M applied on top in combination with HADALAN® EBG 13E, which can also be used as a binder, act as a membrane to ensure a perfectly prepared surface for the subsequent waterproofing with HADALAN® Velo-Seal.

Standard requires two versions
DIN 18531 governs the waterproofing of roofs as well as balconies, loggias and arcades. The liquid applied waterproofing (FLK) listed there must generally be applied in two layers and with a corresponding fleece insert. A single-layer design without fleece is only possible if the system has a corresponding European Technical Approval (ETA) in accordance with EAD 030350-00-0402 (liquid-applied roof waterproofing).
For certain applications, such as use on areas beneath occupied spaces, the standard always requires a two-layer waterproofing system with fleece, as such areas are classified as a roof according to the standard
The innovative technology of the HADALAN® Velo System delivers such high performance in terms of its properties that it can be used in compliance with standards both with and without fleece reinforcement. It has been accordingly tested and approved for use in accordance with DIN 18531 for the waterproofing of roofs as well as balconies, loggias, and access walkways.
