Substrate

Properties/tests

• The substrate must be dry and free of impurities.

Pretreatment

• Fill damaged joints, flaws and cracks over 0.5 mm before impregnation.
• Heavy contamination from industrial and soot deposits, cement residue, dust, loose particles etc. must be removed.
• Cover adjacent surfaces, windows, aluminum frames and doors with foil.

Processing

Processing

• Apply with a pressure sprayer (high-performance sprayer) or with a ceiling brush from the bottom upwards so that the run-off material penetrates the already impregnated surface. The application quantity should be measured so that a run-off curtain of 20 – 30 cm is created.
• To achieve a particularly high penetration depth, apply VESTEROL SSW 18OS twice (wet on wet).
• Avoid spray mist.

Cleaning the tools

• Clean all tools and equipment with water immediately after use.

Notes

• Remove splashes of VESTEROL SSW 18OS with water when it is fresh.
• Maintain a processing temperature of +5 °C to +35 °C.
• The full effectiveness of the impregnation is achieved after approx. 4 weeks.
• To ensure permanent water repellency, the façade should be re-impregnated after approx. 10 years (depending on the building material).
• The service life of an impregnation depends on the application quantity, pore volume, penetration depth and object-specific weather exposure.
• Only for vertical and inclined surfaces.
• Not for sealing against pressing water.
