Features
Properties
INTRASIT® RZ2 55HSP is a "breathable", natural white climatic light plaster with excellent processing properties. The use of HSP technology has enabled significantly better cleaning properties. INTRASIT® RZ2 55HSP is a new type of lightweight climatic plaster which, in a system with INTRASIT® Aquarol 10A and the sealing mortar INTRASIT® RZ1 55HSP, significantly reduces capillary moisture transport on the wall side and ensures good climate regulation (anti-mildew effect) on the room side due to the increased water penetration depth.- high yield due to low fresh mortar density
- fast setting and rapid hardening process
- uniform, low-shrinkage and crack-free hardening due to fiber reinforcement
- high salt storage capacity due to microporous structure
- reduced capillary water absorption with high water vapor permeability
- has a balancing effect on fluctuations in the room climate
- ready-to-coat light-colored surface, no fine plaster required
Applications
- as a component of the instant renovation system for the production of a porous hydrophobic lightweight plaster with salt-retaining and air-conditioning properties
- as fiber-reinforced base plaster for interior and exterior use
- for weight-reduced leveling and repair of masonry and porous lightweight concrete
Composition
- Standard cements
- Mineral aggregates
- Hydrophobic agents
- Fibrefillers
- Mineral lightweight aggregates
- Air-entraining agent
- HS-Puzzolane
Processing
Substrate
Properties/tests
- The substrate must be clean and sound.
Pretreatment
- Completely remove plaster residues, loose parts and dust.
- Knock off old plaster in a radius of 80-100 cm beyond the damaged area.
- Scrape out friable masonry joints to a depth of 2-3 cm, replace damaged bricks. Always prime substrates with INTRASIT® Aquarol 10A and then apply a net-like covering spray coat of INTRASIT® RZ1.
- For highly absorbent substrates, INTRASIT® RZ1 55HSP must be applied as a bonding bridge using the slurry method. To improve the adhesion of INTRASIT® RZ2 55HSP, apply an adhesive spray coat of INTRASIT® RZ1 55HSP. Surfaces filled with INTRASIT® RZ1 55HSP must be combed horizontally.
Alternatively, an adhesive spray coat of INTRASIT® RZ1 55 HSP can be applied after a waiting time of approx. 45 minutes. The coat should be applied like a mesh (approx. 70 % coverage).
After a curing time of 1 hour, the render can be applied.
Processing
Processing
- Sprinkle INTRASIT® RZ2 55HSP into water and mix intensively for 2 to 3 minutes with a roto-whisk (400 – 600 rpm) until a homogeneous, lump-free mass is obtained. The processing consistency is achieved during the mixing process. Observe the amount of water. Recommended mixing ratio: 15 kg INTRASIT® RZ2 55HSP : approx. 6 l water.
- Apply INTRASIT® RZ2 55HSP in a total plaster thickness of 10 to 25 mm, depending on the substrate and salt load. A 2-layer plaster structure is recommended for high salt exposure. For this purpose, the 1st layer of plaster is combed on horizontally. The 2nd layer of plaster is applied after the 1st layer has completely dried.
- Level and flush the surface. Rub off with a damp, red sponge board. Due to the fine-grained structure of the plaster, paintable surfaces can be achieved, depending on the final treatment.
Cleaning the tools
- Clean all tools and equipment with water immediately after use.
Notes
- Maintain a processing temperature of +5 °C to +30 °C.
- Protect the fresh plaster from drying out too quickly and from unfavorable weather conditions. Avoid draughts.
- High temperatures accelerate, low temperatures delay the setting process.
- In the case of high salt exposure, a multi-layer design with INTRASIT® RZ2 55HSP may be necessary.
- Fine hairline cracks may occur. They are harmless as they do not impair the functionality of the plaster.
- Observe the water quantity. Overdosing leads to increased shrinkage and can cause cracking.
