Features

Properties

INTRASIT® Poly-C1 54Z is a pasty, well-adhering polymer-cement-based waterproofing compound. After mixing the two components, the result is a PCC mortar that is easy to trowel and spreadable after adding 1 % water. INTRASIT® Poly-C1 54Z cures stress-free even in layer thicknesses of 5 mm.

  • resistant to the aggressive substances normally found in soil
  • crack-bridging
  • waterproof
  • flexible at low temperatures
  • frost and de-icing salt-resistant
  • universal use
  • can be plastered over

Applications

  • Concrete, plaster, masonry
  • Damp and wet rooms
  • Balconies, terraces, arcades
  • Waterproofing of concrete surfaces in areas in contact with the ground

Composition

  • Liquid component: Polymer dispersion, additives

Processing

Substrate

Properties/tests

  • The substrate must be firm, level, load-bearing, free of oil, grease, frost, dust, dirt, mortar residue and loose particles.
  • Masonry must be fully jointed.

Pretreatment

  • Pre-wet substrate evenly, matt damp.
  • Break corners and edges, create coving.
  • Minor unevenness can be evened out with INTRASIT Poly-C1 54Z using a scratch coat.
  • Brush or spray VESTEROL TG 10D onto gypsum plaster and gypsum plasterboard as a primer.
  • Use IMBERAL Aquarol 10D as a primer on all absorbent, mineral substrates

Processing

Processing

  • Mix INTRASIT Poly-C1 54Z with a slow-running stirring tool (400 to 600 rpm). Stir for 2 to 3 minutes. To do this, pour in the entire liquid component and add the powder while stirring.
  • For a slurry consistency: stir approx. 0.2 l water (1 %) into the ready-mixed sealing slurry.
  • INTRASIT Poly-C1 54Z can be applied by brush, trowel or spraying. Ensure that the waterproofing compound is applied evenly. Avoid trowel marks in the material surface.
  • The maximum layer thickness per application is 5 mm.
  • To achieve a homogeneous, even and non-porous sealing layer, we recommend applying the sealing slurry in 2 coats.
  • Allow a drying time of 3 to 5 hours between coats, depending on weather conditions.

Cleaning the tools

  • Clean tools immediately after use with water.

Notes

  • Guidelines are DIN 18533 for structural waterproofing and DIN 1053 for masonry construction.
  • Maintain a processing temperature of +5 °C to +30 °C.
  • Premature skin formation is to be expected in the event of sunlight, increased temperature and wind movement. Shading precautions are recommended.
  • Only use on dry or matt damp substrates.
  • Coarse trowel marks in the surface and material accumulations must be avoided.
  • Protect from mechanical stress until sufficiently cured. Provide protective layers in accordance with DIN 18533.
