Properties
INTRASIT® BLK 18OS is a water-soluble siloxane preparation with good penetration properties even in small capillary spaces. INTRASIT® BLK 18OS is a concentrate that is adjusted to the required dilution with clear tap water. As the concentration of BLK in the masonry increases due to the evaporation of the water it contains, the pore structure becomes cross-linked and hydrophobic. - The masonry must be free of cavities.

- If the masonry is cracked, fill any voids and/or cracks with INTRASIT BLS 54TR.

- Laying a horizontal barrier using the drill hole method: Drill holes at a distance of 10 – 12 cm (drill hole diameter depending on the packer). The boreholes can be drilled in one or two rows, depending on the condition of the masonry and the degree of moisture penetration. For saturation moisture levels above 75 %, the horizon dam must be installed in two rows.
- Blow out drill holes.
- Fill larger cavities with INTRASIT BLS 54TR. INTRASIT BLK 180S can be injected after the initial hardening of the borehole suspension.
- Dilute INTRASIT BLK 180S with water at a ratio of 1 : 7 for high moisture penetration and up to 1 : 14 for low moisture penetration. For this purpose, INTRASIT BLK 180S is stirred into clean, clear tap water. The stability of the mixed solution depends on the respective degree of hardness of the water, but is generally at least one week.
- Injection is carried out using the low-pressure method (< 10 bar). The consumption quantities must be recorded. If consumption is too low, inject more if necessary.
Cleaning the tools
- Clean tools immediately after use with water.
Notes
- Only use unpolluted, clear tap water for mixing. Always add water to the mixing bucket and then add INTRASIT BLK 180S in the desired ratio.
- Document material consumption.
- Observe WTA data sheets, in particular WTA data sheet 4-10 "Injection procedure with certified injection materials against capillary moisture transport".
- Please refer to the brochure "INTRASIT retrofit interior basement wall renovation".
- Content of volatile organic compounds approx. 3 % depending on dilution.
- Clean valves and hoses of pump systems with water after use, otherwise the packer heads may stick together.
