Properties/tests

• The substructure must be designed in such a way that the surface to be grouted can absorb the expected loads, e.g. bedding in drainage-compatible mortar.
• To avoid frost damage, the formation of standing water must be ruled out.
• The relevant regulations for laying paving surfaces must be observed.
• The joint edges must be clean and dry. The minimum joint width is 5 mm, the minimum joint depth is 30 mm.
• For use as a drainage mortar, the substrate must be sufficiently firm and free of any components that could reduce adhesion.

Pretreatment

• The surfaces must be sufficiently pre-wetted, possibly the day before in the case of highly absorbent materials. Before starting work, apply a water mist once again and remove any standing water, e.g. in the joints.

Processing

Mixing / Preparation / Processing

• Mix resin and hardener component homogeneously.
• Add the mixed components completely to the sand mixture and mix for at least 2 minutes with a whisk.
• Fill the plastic containers of the resin/hardener components with a total of 2 liters of water and add to the mixture. Then mix thoroughly for 2 minutes.

Processing

• The finished homogeneous mortar is spread over the prepared and well pre-wetted paving surface using a rubber squeegee.
• After setting (approx. 50 minutes, mortar should have reached an earth-moist consistency), the paving surface is swept with a medium-hard, damp broom. Clean the broom from time to time.
• Do not apply swept mortar residue to open joints. The surfaces must be cleaned carefully, as components that have not been removed can only be removed mechanically after setting. To assess the appearance (in the case of open-pored or sensitive stones), it is recommended that a sample surface is created.
• Processing as a binder for drainage mortar:
  HADALAN TB 12E can be used as a binder for drainage concrete and bedding mortar. We recommend quartz gravel 2-3 mm for this purpose. If other grain sizes are used, a test surface must be created. Mix components A and B in a suitable container. Mix quartz gravel 2-3 mm with 5 % binder (1.25 kg binder per 25 kg) homogeneously using a suitable stirring tool. Spread and compact the material. The minimum application thickness is 10 mm.

Drying / Hardening

• The surfaces should not be walked on for 12 hours and should be protected from rain and moisture.
• The surfaces are fully loadable after 3 days.

Cleaning the tools

• Clean tools immediately after use with HADALAN EPV 38L.

Notes

• Maintain a processing temperature of +5 °C to +30 °C.
• Create a sample surface.
