Features

Properties

HADALAN® LF68 12P is a 1-component, rigid and lightfast polyurethane resin binder. It is odorless, hardens with air humidity and forms a binder film with very good weather resistance and abrasion resistance. Due to the particularly dense film surface, very easy-to-clean coverings with low soiling tendency are created.

  • odorless
  • low consumption
  • solvent-free
  • lightfast
  • transparent
  • plasticizer-resistant
  • easy to process

Applications

  • Sales, exhibition and storage rooms
  • Arcades
  • Concrete and screed surfaces

Composition

  • Polyurethane resin
  • additives

Processing

Substrate

Properties/tests

  • The substrate must be dry, load-bearing, clean, dust-free and free of adhesion-reducing residues, release agents, efflorescence and sintered coatings.

Pretreatment

  • HADALAN EG145 13E (alternatively HADALAN EPUni 12E) is applied over the entire surface as a primer and substrate consolidator. Quartz051 57M is sprinkled into the fresh primer with 50% coverage. Drying time 1 day.

Processing

Processing

  • HADALAN MST 89M (2 – 4 mm) are mixed with 5 wt.-% HADALAN LF68 12P. HADALAN DQ0712 89M with proportionally 6 %. For this purpose, the binder is intensively mixed with the aggregate using a slow-speed mixer and stirring paddle (approx. 400 rpm). The mix is then decanted and stirred again briefly. A processing time of approx. 60 minutes is then available.
  • The application of an adhesive layer is not necessary if the primer is properly applied with quartz sand.
  • The mix is roughly spread to the desired layer thickness with a squeegee and then compacted and leveled with a smoothing trowel. When using HADALAN MST 89M (2 – 4 mm), the average layer thickness is approx. 8 mm.
  • When using fine decorative quartz grains, the smoothness can be significantly improved by cleaning the tools with HADALAN EPV 38L in the meantime.

Cleaning the tools

  • Clean tools immediately after use with HADALAN EPV 38L.
  • Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.

Notes

  • Maintain a processing temperature of +8 °C to +30 °C.
  • When processing above +30 °C, there is a risk of the binder running off the stone surface. The durability of the covering system is reduced.
  • Avoid strong sunlight. Shading must be provided if necessary.
  • The product is moisture-reactive. The material must therefore be protected from moisture until it has completely hardened. The substrate to be coated must be dry.
  • High temperatures accelerate, low temperatures delay the solidification and curing process.
  • Comply with consumption specifications. Deviations can lead to shading in the surface.
  • Overdosing of the binder can lead to blistering and cavities.
  • The specified additive quantities apply to HADALAN MST 89M and HADALAN DQ0712 89M. Preliminary tests must be carried out with other grain sizes.
  • Compact HADALAN MST 89M well to achieve a homogeneous and stable floor covering.
  • For cleaning and care, see the HADALAN natural stone leveled surfaces care instructions.
  • When using in the HADALAN balcony protection system, observe the processing instructions "Renovation, coating and decorative design with HADALAN PUR liquid plastics".
