Substrate

Properties/tests

• The substrate must be clean, sound and stable.
• Temporarily slightly damp substrates do not impair adhesion.
• The adhesive tensile strength of the substrate must be at least 1.5 N/mm².

Pretreatment

• Prime highly absorbent and sanding substrates with HADALAN EBG 13E before coating.
• The coating with HADALAN LF41 12E can be applied after the primer has hardened tack-free.

Processing

Mixing / Preparation / Processing

• Mix component A and component B intensively in a suitable container using a slow-running, mechanical agitator (300 – 400 rpm).
• Then pour the mixture into a clean container and stir briefly. By adding up to 10 % water, the spreading consistency can be optimally adjusted.

Processing

• Apply with a roller or brush. To achieve uniform surfaces, apply with a suitable short pile roller for epoxy resins. The application is carried out crosswise. Waiting times during application can lead to build-up.
• To achieve uniform color rendering, 2 coats are generally required.

Cleaning the tools

• Clean all tools and equipment with water immediately after use.

Notes

• Maintain a processing temperature of +10 °C to +30 °C.
• Processing beyond the pot life leads to poor results in terms of film strength and visual impression.
• Ensure sufficient ventilation during drying. The product contains water, which must dry out of the coating film.
• For contiguous surfaces, only materials with the same batch number may be used.
• The relative humidity must not exceed 80%. The substrate temperature must be at least 3 °C above the dew point temperature.
• Ensure uniform application quantities, irregular material quantities lead to differences in gloss level.
• To maintain the surface quality of the coating, the use of care products and regular cleaning of the floors is recommended (see HADALAN epoxy resin flooring care instructions).
