Properties/tests
- HADALAN® DS91 13P is used as a substrate for trowel-applied coatings.
- Before starting the coating work, the surface of the sealing layer must be dust-free and dry.
Processing
Mixing / Preparation / Processing
- The desired color mixture of natural stones or decorative quartz is mixed with 6 – 8 % (depending on grain size) HADALAN BM1K 32P.
- For this purpose, the binder is intensively mixed with the grain using a slow-speed mixer and stirring paddle (approx. 400 rpm).
- Then repot into a clean container and intermix thoroughly again.
Processing
- Apply an adhesive and bonding layer of HADALAN BM1K 32P to the existing, dry waterproofing. This is applied using a mohair roller.
- The mix is roughly spread over the fresh adhesive layer with a squeegee and then compacted and leveled with a smoothing trowel. When using natural stone, the average layer thickness is approx. 8 – 10 mm.
- To facilitate smoothing, the tools can be cleaned with HADALAN EPV 38L at regular intervals.
Drying / Hardening
- The surfaces can be carefully walked on the next day.
- Fully loadable after approx. 7 days.
Cleaning the tools
- Clean tools immediately after use with HADALAN EPV 38L.
- Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
Notes
- Maintain a processing temperature of +8 °C to +30 °C.
- The product is moisture-reactive. The material must therefore be protected from moisture until it has completely hardened. The substrate to be coated must be dry.
- High temperatures accelerate, low temperatures delay the solidification and curing process.
- The application distances for multi-layer coatings must be observed.
- Comply with consumption specifications. Deviations can lead to shading in the surface.
- Only use HADALAN® EPV 38L as thinner and cleaner.
- The substrate temperature must be at least 3 °C above the dew point temperature during application and curing.
